404 on Single Knowledge Base Articles

If you are getting a 404 or “page not found” when you click on a single KB article, do the following:

  1. In WordPress, go to Settings – Permalinks
  2. Click the Save button
  3. Test again

This issue happens sometimes when a new post type is registered, a simple click to Update Permalinks resolves this. You do not need to change any of the permalink settings, just click the Save button, this flushes permalinks and fixes 404 issues in Custom Post Types.
